DOC (Dalian Obscure Club) is an experimental rock band from Dalian, composed of Jiang Hao, Yu Dong, Sean Rollins, Wei Gang (Evgeny Kozachinskiy), and Qu Ruining. DOC is influenced by a series of experimental bands and composers including Tortoise, Jaga Jazzist, Radiohead, Steve Reich, and seeks a balance between a strict arrangement structure and more abstract improvisational music in an attempt to create more sound with a sense of picture and imagination.
The band released the album “Northern Electric Shadow” on D-Force Records in 2016, and received multiple best nominations for the Abbey Deer Music Awards in the same year.
