During their youth, the JUMA’s would take trips to the vast markets of Mombasa Kenya where they would watch as the local craftsmen weave intricate patterns into local crafts. The duo got to witness the construction of amazing kente cloth, which would form into beautifully designed blankets and throws. They got to seethe various styles of patterns and textures the craftsmen would use to make clothing for the local Maasai tribes to adorn. These complex and wonderful designs are what inspire the JUMA’s take on this African Tribal Texture print.
